Recently, Jeff Birchall (Lead, UArctic TN on Local-scale Planning, Climate Change and Resilience) and his co-author from the University of Alberta published "Climate change adaptation: How short-term political priorities trample public well-being", with the scientific journal Environmental Science and Policy.

The position has focused on advancing collaboration between American and Finnish stakeholders on Arctic issues, and has been hosted at the UArctic International Secretariat and the University of Lapland.
