The Læra Institute for Circumpolar Education took an active part in Arctic Congress Bodø 2024, a blockbuster event combining IASSA's 11th International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences, UArctic Congress 2024 and High North Dialogue 2024.

The Thematic Network on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL@UArctic) Lead, Izzy Crawford from the Robert Gordon University, and Vice-lead, Elina Oksanen from the University of Eastern Finland, travelled to the Arctic Congress in Bodø, Norway earlier this month. 


The UArctic Rectors' Meeting 2024 held during the Arctic Congress 2024 on 1st June in Bodø, Norway, brought together UArctic member institution leadership, high-level representatives from Arctic states as well as indigenous people’s organizations to discuss collaboration among academic institutions.








Researchers involved in UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Marine Biodiversity, and the Nansen Legacy project have identified the first-ever loriciferan in Norwegian waters. This find was made in the Barents Sea at coordinates 81.53N and 30.96E, at a depth of 806 meters.
