This year's staff retreat saw UArctic staff members from many units in attendance, including the UArctic Foundation (US) and the office of the Vice-President Research in Iceland. The program facilitated much great discussion and several engaging presentations on a plethora of topics, from fundraising strategies to activity reporting to engaging with Northern communities in research/other activities. The retreat served not only as an opportunity to speak face-to-face on various current and upcoming projects, but also as a time to better get to know one another.
The productive workdays were wrapped up with evening meals in good company and trips to sauna, and the staff additionally made a visit to a local reindeer farm for a sleigh ride. Some also took advantage of the nice snow on the fells to go skiing.
