This call aims to support the early stages of joint science and technology research for radically new future technological possibilities. The call is entirely non-prescriptive with regards to the nature or purpose of the technologies that are envisaged and thus targets mainly the unexpected. A bottom-up selection process will build up a diverse portfolio of projects.
The FET-Open call also seeks for coordination and support activities to turn Europe into the best place in the world for responsible collaborative research and innovation on future and emerging technologies that will make a difference for society in the decades to come.
