UArctic Teacher Education Thematic Network, The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) and University of Lapland organizes a local summit for teachers, teachers educators, stake holders, and policy makers to discuss and network with northern colleagues under the theme ‘Diversity and inclusion in teaching and teacher education in the North’. The summit is part of Arctic Council’s Sustainable Development Working group’s (SDWG) project Teacher Education for Diversity and Equality in the Arctic.
What: Local summit on Teaching for Diversity and Inclusion in Arctic - the local context and global perspectives
Where: UiT/University of Tromsø, Norway (Free bus transportation from Rovaniemi, Finland to Tromsø will be available, more information here)
When: 8th of May 2018, registration from 4th of April until 18th April
Program of the summit includes keynote speeches, workshops under the themes ethnomathematics, cultural pedagogy, gender issues in Arctic and education for sustainability.
