The University of Aberdeen, Scotland, is currently offering an Elphinstone Scholarship fee-waiver for a PhD student to be affiliated with the 'Narrative Objects: The Sakha Summer Festival and Cultural Revitalization' project. UArctic Research Area aims to increase the research cooperation between the UArctic member universities and organizations by improving their opportunities for research funding and facilitating cooperation with international science organizations.



UArctic Thematic Networks leaders gathered together in Bodø, Norway, for their annual program team meeting. This year the aim was to brainstorm potential topical Arctic issues and gaps in knowledge for joint research projects.


23 March at Northern (Arctic) Federal University 11 BCS students got diplomas of the University of the Arctic. The BCS program is offered by several UArctic members, among which is the University of Nordland (Norway). Its representatives Eivind Karlsen and Hakan Sandersen attended the graduation ceremony.


The start of the project is March 24. The competition is held by the Surgut State University to develop mobile devices and to enhance creative potential of young programmers. Leading mobile business companies will estimate the work of young programmers.
