The XII All-Russian Scientific Conference entitled "Political, Economic and Sociocultural aspects of Regional Governance in the European North" will be held October 24-25, 2013 in Syktyvkar, Russia.

Held over four days and hosted by the University of Akureyri, the 6th Symposium on Polar Law will begin in Akureyri on October 11th before moving on to the Arctic Circle open assembly at Harpa, Reykjavik, October 12th to 14th, 2013.
