Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI) is a government-sponsored polar research institute of the Republic of Korea. While serving as the operator of national polar programs, KOPRI also advocates international cooperation in polar science and research. KOPRI initiated the Fellowship Program in 2015 in an effort to promote research collaboration and provide future generation polar scientists with networking and research opportunities, by making use of its expanding infrastructure and capacity.

 

KOPRI is pleased to announce the call for second round of applications for the 2023 KOPRI Fellowship Program. The program invites polar researchers to participate in its Institute Visiting Program that offers office space and/or laboratory access within the KOPRI facilities to awardees. This second call for the KOPRI Fellowship Program 2023 is open for the two categories: Arctic and Antarctic.

The KOPRI Arctic Fellowship Program:

The KOPRI Arctic Fellowship is open to early career scientists from the Arctic countries and researchers who are of Arctic indigenous heritage, who wish to visit and conduct research at KOPRI for a period up to 3 months.

The KOPRI Antarctic Fellowship Program:

The KOPRI Antarctic Fellowship is open to early career scientists from Chile and New Zealand who wish to visit and conduct research at KOPRI for a period up to 3 months.
