The UArctic Photo Competition is an annual event organized by the University of Arctic (UArctic) in collaboration with the Arctic Sustainable Art and Design Thematic Network (ASAD). The theme of the competition in 2022 is Arctic Polarities.

A north2north meeting was organized for the Norwegian north2north coordinators between 16 and 18 November 2021. The meeting took place in a small Sami town Kautokeino (Finnmark) and was organized by the Norwegian National Agency for north2north.

The Italian Society for International Organization – SIOI UNA Italy – and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute –UNICRI – are pleased to present the fifth edition of the Winter School on Environmental Crimes which will be delivered online, from 13th to 17th December 2021.

Back in 2009, the University of the Arctic International Secretariat hired Elizabeth Zarpa as the Communications Assistant through the Circumpolar Young Leaders program (CPYL). Throughout the duration of her internship, she worked alongside Riitta Aikio, Outi Snellman, Scott Forrest and others directly linked with UArctic.


Next week, along with EU-PolarNet 2 and the EU Polar Cluster, the EPB will host the webinar ‘The new EU Arctic Policy and Research & Innovation'. The webinar will discuss the new policy and effects on future research with EU representatives.
