For the Russian-language website, all main sections are translated - "About UArctic", "Education", "Thematic Networks," with the information on each of the Thematic Networks and "Research." The website serves as a Russian-language portal offering the information on educational programs in the North for our Russian speaking members, students, and others.

"Our team has worked so hard to get the Russian language website online soon after the English language version. This is a great achievement and will help serve our partners in the Russian Federation, which makes up half of the Arctic," says Outi Snellman, UArctic Vice-President Organization.

UArctic is very grateful to all of those who worked on the website - Scott Forrest, Hannele Palviainen, Lera Posmitnaya, Olga Klisheva, Svetlana Guseva, Lena Vinokurova, Liudmila Nikanorova. This was a great partnership between the UArctic Interational Secretariat, Research Office at NArFU and the Russian Information Centre at NEFU.

UArctic believes that the Russian-language website is to attract new students from Russia to the circumpolar programmes and to get acquainted Russian general public with the activities of the University of the Arctic.
