The call for grant applications is relevant for following disciplines:

1. Natural and exact sciences: mathematics, computer and information sciences; physics; chemistry; earth sciences and related environmental sciences; biology.
2. Equipment and technologies: construction and architecture; electrical engineering; electronic engineering, information technologies, mechanics and mechanical engineering; chemical technologies; materials’ technology; medical technologies; energy and environmental management; ecological biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, nanotechnology.
3. Medical sciences and health studies: fundamental medicine, health studies, clinical medicine and medical biotechnology.
4. Agricultural sciences: agriculture, forestry, fishery; cattle breeding and dairy studies; veterinary medicine; agricultural biotechnology.
5. Social sciences: psychology, economics and business; pedagogy; sociology; law; political science; social and economic geography; media and mass communications.
6. Humanities: history and archeology; languages and literature; philosophy, ethics, religious studies, arts.

Basic requirements to the leading scientists:
The leading scientist is expected to build a research team at Russian higher education or research institution, which must include at least 2 candidates of science, 3 post-graduate students and 3 students studying at the institution where the research is being held.

The leading scientist is responsible for carrying out a scientific research and is to provide personal guidance of the laboratory and conducted scientific research (presence in a higher education institution or a scientific organization) at least for: 4 months (in total) in 2014; 4 months (in total) in 2015; 4 months (in total) in 2016. His/her participation in the research, in accordance with the stated terms and conditions, including personal presence in a higher education institution or a scientific organization not less than for 4 months annually within 2014-2016 years for personal guidance of the laboratory and conducted scientific research, should be confirmed by the written consent of the organization, which employs the leading scientist.

The obligatory result of the research project is a publication of an article within a scientific research field, indexed in the database “Web of Science”, and (or) application for patent for invention, model or industrial design upon the expiry of 18 months after the beginning of the research project, as well as publication of an article within a scientific research field, indexed in the database “Web of Science”, and (or) application for a patent, and (or) receiving of a patent 30 months after the start of the scientific research.

Application for participation in the call must be prepared and submitted in Russian and English languages or in English.
Applications for participation in the call are to be sent to: 125993, Moscow, GSP-3, Tverskaya street, 11, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation within the period of August 12, 2013 up to October 1, 2013 (12:00 Moscow time).

Envelopes with applications for participation in the call will be opened on October 2, 2013 at 10: 00 (Moscow time) at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The results will be announced by December 27, 2013.
