KAMK offers exchange students an international atmoshpere for studying and we operate in our compact campus area nestled with Kajaani's stunning natural surroundings. Kajaani itself is a small town with a population of 37,000. The town has all the necessary services, yet is small enough to feel safe. Student life in Kajaani is easy: distances are short and services are of a high standard.
KAMK has a wide outreach in Finland and globally. The Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (FINEEC) has awarded KAMK a quality label, which is valid until 24 March 2027. According to the Ministry of Education and Culture outcome barometers, the quality of teaching and councelling has been considered best in Finland for several years running. Also, based on the national survey for graduatings students in 2019, KAMK had the happiest students in Finland.
KAMK has over 100 international partner HEIs of which 18 are located in countries situated in the UArctic member countries. Furthermore, KAMK is cooperating in projects with research centres and tens of businesses located in countries situated in the UArctic member countries.
